Really admire the top management that guided us by providing all the details and information about the hotel clearing all our doubts regarding our strategic management assignment. Not only the information but also they gave us an interesting site visit and a little refreshment at the end really grateful for the service provided.

We stayed at Anantara, Kalutara for a few days in June 2024. We loved the whole experience! The service was excellent - everyone was very friendly and were great with our kids. The food was also delicious and there were great facilities for kids, including a kids' club and baby swimming pool. The location was great too - less than two hours from Colombo and the airport with views over the lagoon and over the sea. Overall, I'd highly recommend this resort!

I recently stayed at Anantara Kalutara Resort and Spa, and it was fantastic! The resort is beautiful, with amazing views and great amenities.A special thanks to Sandurruwan at the reception. He provided excellent service, upgraded our rooms to ocean view, and even gave us a late check-out. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was great, making our stay very comfortable.I highly recommend Anantara Kalutara Resort and Spa for a perfect getaway. Thanks to Sandaruwan and the team for a wonderful experience!

I recently stayed at the Anantara Kalutara Resort in one of the One Bedroom Pool Villas (#408), and unfortunately, my experience was less than ideal.From the moment we arrived, we encountered several issues that impacted our stay. The room floor had small broken glass pieces, which hurt me. Additionally, there were insects in the room, specifically ants in the dressing room, which posed a serious problem as my wife is allergic to ant bites. To make matters worse, I discovered a large hole in that room myself. The air conditioning in the living room was damaged, with the rings not working, and the bathroom's hot and cold water system was extremely difficult to regulate—either scalding hot or freezing cold, making it hard to get warm water. The outside bathtub was also not cleaned, and there was no shower to rinse it. The wood floor outside the pool needs to be replaced as some are broken as my feet fall in one broken. Also, the hotel is not handicap and baby stroller friendly.Regarding the dining experience, the main restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner, though the air conditioning there was inadequate, making the environment uncomfortably warm. The Spice Traders restaurant had good food overall, but the Thai section was disappointing and needs significant improvement.Despite these challenges, there were positive aspects of our stay. The villa's private pool was amazing, with a very suitable temperature for my family. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and professional, from the reception to the restaurant staff, housekeepers, and managers.A special mention goes to Mr. Lashan Liyanage, the front office manager, who handled our concerns with great professionalism. He generously offered to upgrade our room to a Royal Suite and invited us to dinner for two nights as a gesture of goodwill. Although we declined the room upgrade due to our preference for the privacy offered by the pool villa, we appreciated his efforts to improve our stay. Mr. Krish, the front office villa host, was also very supportive throughout our stay.Overall, while there were numerous issues that detracted from our experience, the staff's dedication and friendliness stood out.My overall experience at Anantara Kalutara Resort was good, but given the issues we faced, it fell short of being excellent, especially considering it is a five-star international brand.

The day we arrived (21st May 2024) we had a very warm welcome and the staff was very polite and very obliging. They made us feel very comfortable, even the rooms were very tastefully arranged.The meals were of good choice and tastes sooo good.Only thing was that we could not enjoy the beautiful pool due to very bad weather.Wish all the staff at Anantara good luck

The staff was friendly and helpful.I think it would be good if Asian restaurants had Sri Lankan food.I think it would be nice if the beach was better maintained.Since we will be staying for a long time, it would be good if the training room facilities were improved.
