I recently stayed at Avani Hotel and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. Despite its 4-star rating, the service and amenities fell short of expectations.Firstly, the food was not up to par. The dishes lacked flavor, and during buffet times, they did not promptly refill the empty trays. This led to limited choices and an unsatisfactory dining experience. Additionally, the service was subpar; the staff seemed inattentive and unresponsive to requests.The rooms were smaller than expected, offering limited space to move around comfortably. Furthermore, the air conditioning in the buffet area was inadequate, making it an uncomfortable dining environment.The swimming pool did not match the description on their website. It was much smaller and less appealing than advertised. This misrepresentation added to the overall sense of disappointment.Given these issues, I am puzzled as to how Avani Hotel has earned its 4-star rating. The positive reviews and high ratings seem questionable based on my experience. I would not recommend this hotel and will look for better options in the future.

For our trip through Sri Lanka this was the 2nd hotel of the 3. Luxury, all the trimmings. Entertainment, extensive buffet, the room was regularly sprayed for mosquitoes by the staff, beautiful spot, everything you could wish for...Definitely recommended if you are in Sri Lanka!Everything extensive and spacious and with a friendly welcome.

Avani Kalutara is a very nice hotel. The location is also beautiful. Good guest service is also provided from check-in to check-out. Special thanks to Moshitha for your support and I recommend Avani as one of the best hotels.

It’s been so nice to spend a fabulous weekend in this beautiful hotel. Everything was perfect. We like to extend special thanks for front office department along with two fabulous service providers named as Roshantha, Piyathissa who worked in bell desk. It was really awesome stay we loved the property scenic location made us more comfortable to stay. love the nature all staff are smiling even the gardeners said ayubowan feels us in a very homely manner and must mention kusal and moshitha who support us when the wifi drop in our room quick service. and thank you ashan for smiling us and speaking to us every day. we will definitely come back soon definitely.

Here with my family and it was a great day outing. We always did enjoy it. The food, room and the location were very calm and beautiful. Iresha gave us all information about the package and she did a smooth check in.

It was a mixed experience stay but i loved the food and service therefore i don't want to tell any minor issues here and i must what I forced to give five stars is the staff and their effort when my TV channel supported Mr. Ashan and IT guy mositha i guess they involved fixing it and assisted us very soon their immediate reaction is the thing what we can say as service I experienced that what hoteliers must adhere to.as we eat food I love it because of the different kinds of salads and including local fruits that make sense for a buffet. overall I recommend the place. please ignore minor issues. because they are here to assist every time

Quiet and cozy getaway. The ocean view room is recommended for your stay especially if you're traveling with your partner. Attentive service in all aspects. Food variety at breakfast could improve a bit more. Overall, a good experience.

We were here for the wedding home coming function and it was great experience and wonderful location allocated with ocean and the lagoon. Staff also very helpful and kind. Specifically I thank to miss iresha for giving us a good service. I recommend this hotel.

We selected Avani Resort Kalutara this time to celebrate our anniversary, and it was absolutely fantastic. It was our first stay there, and we were truly satisfied by the exceptional service right from the start. The front desk manager was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. All the staff throughout the resort were very kind and attentive. To our special day, they even arranged a delicious cake and a fresh fruit basket in our room. A huge thanks to the staff for the arrangements.The rooms were very clean and comfortable and had a variety of delicious food at the buffet. We can recommend Avani Kalutara as a perfect place for the relaxing vacation.
