I stayed here for volunteering with my friend and we were told to expect basic accommodation. I thought the room was nice and spacious, the beds were comfy and the room was pretty clean. I really enjoyed sunbathing and relaxing by the pool and the staff members were friendly and helpful . I also loved the sea view. Our first room was lovely. Unfortunately the room we got moved to had a lot of things broken such as flickering lights, broken curtain and handles and the door also had a gap in it when closed which didn’t feel the safest. The fridge also was very loud and felt very hot at times. Jenny was very helpful to repair some broken things and also bought us water which was kind. I understand we stayed at the end of the season however the bar and breakfast was closed for a few days before we left which is unfortunate as we paid for the accommodation and it would be nice to have access to those things. We were also asked to try and book new accommodation for a night as we were staying until the 31st which is when they wanted to close the complex- this was quite stressful but they allowed us to stay on in the end. The apartment also lacked basic products like soap, a sponge, a tea towel and chopping board which was difficult as we mainly cooked for ourselves every night to save money. To get our clothes washed was expensive so we had to hand wash our clothes. Overall though I slept well and there was a nice space to get ready for the day which I enjoyed. I would stay here again for volunteering.

My friend and I stayed here for volunteering and following the promise of “basic accommodation” we were very impressed to have a pool, balcony, sea view, comfy beds and spacious room. The kitchenette had the absolute bare minimum (we had to buy our own soup and sponge), however we were able to prepare basic meals each day. Half way through our stay we were asked to move rooms due to closing down the Hotel for the end of season, we were completely fine about this reasonable request. Although, our second room had many broken items including freezer/curtain rail/draw handle/cold shower/constant dripping taps/shutters/fridge/lights. Also our front door had a hole in it and our room had an ant infestation. We spoke to owner and some basic repairs were made during our stay. The owner was super helpful and friendly through out our stay and provided great customer services like buying us Bottled Water and providing fresh towels and sheets. There was no option for on site washing and for our clothes to be sent of was very expensive - this was a shame as we got very mucky volunteering at the shelter. Nearing the end of our stay the owner requested us to find alternative accommodation for our last night due to end of season, as two young girls very far from home we found this quite stressful. Once discussing with the owner though we were thankfully able to stay for our full originally booked time. To note aswell, having seen other volunteer rooms it appears to be a bit hit or miss on how nice your room is. Overall I would stay here again for volunteering but would not recommend for a relaxing holiday.

The welcome is great and the family who runs this hotel are adorable! The location is ideal if you are looking for calm. It looks like a large family residence. It's quite out of the way but the setting is very pleasant. For addicts, watch out! The wifi does not work or works very poorly depending on where you are in the hotel.

It's.. complicated with this one. For the people (like myself) living in the volunteer apartments, it's bad. Everything is broken. The appliances you need for everyday use, you pretty much have to buy yourself. (Kitchen knives, teatowels, cuttingboards, and so on) none of the doors can be locked except the main entrance door, and every handle is pretty much broken. Any door you try to close will inevitably fly open. There is no place to wash clothes yourself, so you have to pay to get it done. Some of the food you can buy here is really bad, because it is frozen beforehand (pizza/burger). However the sandwiches are really good.On a positive note, it's really pretty here, and the view is immaculate. All the hardship in the apartment will also bring you closer to your roomates if you are solution based.I would not let it stop me from volunteering, but it would have been nice to know about beforehand, because you do pay a lot to stay in a place that is just barely okay.Edit: I left this review while still staying at the apartment. The owner decided to confront me about my review, and was very angry with me. I felt extremely uncomfortable about it, but my opinion is the same. Otherwise the staff have been super kind and helpful! She also did bring a few things to the apartment after reading my comments. So still 4/5 stars for service

Simple hotel with studios. I think they are renovating the rooms little by little. Bathroom renovated, but old door still touches the floor and closes very poorly. Also a shame about the shower curtain. Swimming pool is not too clean. Deck chairs have also seen their best days.Stands for a 3 star hotel, but 2 might be a better fit at the moment.
Looks nice, Greek. A bit outdated, doors that don't close properly. Nice welcome and delicious breakfast buffet.

Excellent apartment on the ground floor. Good beds and excellent bathroom. Small swimming pool. Nice terrace. Friendly people. Small breakfast buffet where you can order your eggs. The only disadvantage is that it is under the flight path of Herakllikon airport. And you pay €8 per day to use the air conditioning, which Tui does not mention anywhere.

Kri Kri is a low-budget kind of place and you'll be disappointed if you think you're far away from Heraklion airport!:) Planes going overhead every ten minutes, pretty noisy. Service was good and staff was friendly! Some of the stuff in the apartment could do with improvements. E.g. no shower curtain (bath always a bit flooded), and no duvets, just plain cotton sheets which do not quite cut it if it does cool down a bit at night. The apartments aren't really secure so you always think twice if you want to leave your valuables in the room as it would be very easy to push in the balcony doors for example. Else, it was relatively charming for the area, pool a bit too small for lane swimming but all in all ok if you don't have the highest expectations.

Family owned Hotel with Apartements.Loved the owner, Jenny and her family. The rooms are spacious but never the less old or better said outdated. Windows don't shut properly close - you can hear lots of birds squeaking in the morning, the curtains are very thin, Small TV, No WiFi!!! The kitchen has a few utensils but no knive or frying pan only these small pots you could not. fry a egg on it if your life depends on it. The AC costs extra, even though it is not mentioned anywhere on the booking sites. The shower is extremely small, one can not shower without body parts touching constantly the dirty shower curtain. The drain was clogged and flooded the bathroom every time. And the bathroom window was basically a hole in the wall covered by a net canvas. The Pool was, besides the staff, the best part of the hotel as actual sandy beaches are a little further away, but the pool is unfortunately already closed at 8pm. Honestly, it would have been fine but 2 weeks with no wifi in the rooms and only one tiny TV and no AC is a lot to handle for a family of 4.Overall a good experience but wouldn't go back unless it is updated...

The hotel is a little oasis right next to the beach and very close to restaurants and bars in a small quiet village. It is a very good place to relax and slow down and a good starting point for many activities (hiking, quad tour, boat tour, city tour, ...).The city of Heraklion can be reached by public bus every 20 minutes (for about €1.50). The bus stop is about 400m from the hotel. The service was first class and universal and we grew very fond of the warmhearted owner. So we decided to come right back after only a few months.

A very beautiful place with a huge garden and a lovely pool. The sea is near to the place we can hear sometimes the noise of the waves. The room is nice but it would be better to have a little more tools in the kitchen like a cleaning sponge with some washing liquid. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
