I recently visited Shangri-La Hambantota with my family, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. This resort is undoubtedly one of the best in Sri Lanka, offering a vast range of activities, especially for kids.From the moment we checked in, the customer service was exceptional. The staff, particularly those at the restaurant, went above and beyond to ensure that every guest received top-notch service. The variety of food available was outstanding, catering to all preferences, and every staff member actively participated in making dining a delightful experience.One of the standout aspects of our stay was the range of activities available for kids. There were dedicated play areas, a thrilling adventure zone, and special game activities held on Saturday evening, which created lasting memories for our children. The highlight was the Flying Trapeze and the zip line experience—an exhilarating adventure made even better by the supportive and professional staff.Our accommodation was a Premier Sea View room, and it was nothing short of perfection. The cleanliness, arrangement, and overall ambiance were exceptional, offering a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean.Spanning 145 acres, this is considered the largest resort in Sri Lanka. The three pools cater to different needs—one exclusively for kids, another for adults, and a common pool for all guests.A special highlight was the mesmerizing fireworks display on Saturday night, a beautiful touch that added to the overall experience. The effort and dedication of the hotel staff in organizing such events deserve applause.Overall, Shangri-La Hambantota has something for everyone, especially families with children. I would highly recommend this resort as one of the best in Sri Lanka for an extraordinary getaway.

Best hotel I stayed in Sri Lanka so far. Rooms, services, location, food everything was amazing. Have plenty of space for car park. They do have a golf park where you can hang around. Have walkable access to the beach, but not advised to get down as it has rough waves. We stayed there on Full board basis and the food spread was fantastic. Really enjoyed their food. Staff members were very friendly.

I recently stayed at the Shangri-La Hambantota, and it was an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and ensured we had a wonderful vacation. The hotel's garden is stunning and creates such a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, and our room was spotless with a lovely arrangement. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway!

We stayed in this hotel two days very good. beautiful place sea view and have more entertainment games for your kids in the hotel. If you going to hotel put you booking for two days. And the restaurant buffet is also a good but sometimes there is a hair surprise and that bigger a huge problem.

Service was excellent all staff were super friendly and nice. Rated 5 star for overall rating. Was also provided late checkout by the reception staff. Excellent service and all round experience.Buffet food was very good and had good options.Rooms were nice as well but can improve, mainly the wooden floor which was damaged and was bit creaky and rooms incl wash rooms could get bit of refurbishments done.

Lovely place to be. Great location for vacation. Easy access from Colombo due to highway. Great value for money. Plant of space to walk around and you can engage with many activities. In the evening perfect place to chill near beach and see the sunset. Room are large and with all facilities. Foods also excellent. Wide range of food variation to choose highly recommend this place.
